Premiere pro essentials graphics

I've been working on a PPro project with essentials graphics for the past week, and after 2 weeks I am trying to open the project and PPro immediately crashed and quit. I cannot get the project to open in the latest PPro release at all. The project has some linked AE comps; I also updated AE to the latest version today, so there's not a version inconsistency. I can create a new PPro project seemingly without problems.
