Ripple tool doesn't work in Premiere Pro Beta v26.0 (build 20)

I've found that the ripple tool doesn't seem to be working in  Premiere Pro Beta v26.0 (build 20); when I grabe a clip end to extend it, the clip stops extending after a couple of frames.  Everytime that I try to extend a clip like this, using the ripple tool, it will only extend by a couple of frames. But I can select a clip end, and using the extend tool, extend the clip in the same way that I wanted to use the ripple tool to extend the clip.

This situation with the ripple tool failing to extend a clip occurs whether I've manually selected the rippple tool or I've used the context sensitive timeline option to go into ripple tool mode when I hover the cursor near a clip end.

    Thanks much for confirming, @Andrew C. Brinsmead.
    I'll update once this is fixed in a build.  Thanks!

    Thanks Michael, yes I do have that enabled in my timeline wrench settings, I've disable this now, and already it looks like the ripple tool is working!!!! Fantastic!!!!

    (BTW, I've just updated to v26.0 Beta (Build 23))

    Hi @Andrew C. Brinsmead - Thank you for the report.  Do you have Transmit enabled and set to an external monitor in Prefs>Playback and is "Composite Preview During Trim" enabled in the timeline wrench menu? If so, there is a bug in Beta if you're on mac.  You can only extend by 1-3 frames in Ripple Trim and Regular Trim.  The fix for this bug is currently in development. Please confirm if this is the issue that you are experiencing.  Thanks!

    Right. For a bug report. If you create/reply to a discussion type forum item, there is a drag here/attach section at the end of the enter text area. And no, I do not understand why that difference exists.

    I've updated to Premiere Pro 26.0 Beta (build 21), and I'm still having the same issues; both the single sided & double sided ripple edit tool and rolling edit tool won't drag a clip ending; but if I select an edit point, relocate my timeline indicator and hit extend, then the edit will extend as expected! (however an ongoing issue with Frame.IO markers being overwritten has returned!)

    (BTW when I use the insert video edit button on the forum, it only allows me to link to a video that's already online, not upload a video from my computer to the forum)

    @Andrew C. Brinsmead,

    Duh. You said all that in your post. And I missed every bit of it.

    But if I select the Ripple Edit tool, it seems to be working. Yes, your video would help.

    Someone else commented on videos in the forum. I don't know why, but bug reports only allow posting a link to a video, using the "Insert Video" button.

    Thanks stan, but no this doesn't work for me as  I'm trying to use the ripple edit tool to extend edit points, not delete material

    @Andrew C. Brinsmead,

    Win 11 Beta 26.0.0 Build 20.

    Very simple ripple delete: single clip sequence. Cut twice, right-click middle section, ripple delete. Or shft+delete shortcut Works correctly.

    Does that simple version work for you?

    I've done a screen recording to demonstrate this issue, but unfortunately this forum isn't allowing me to upload a video
