Search bar/function not working

Search bar/function not working.  I have several clips with keywords in the Description column.  I am literally looking at the text itself and when I type the word into the search bar, everything goes away with no results.  I tried Cmd+F and also tried to create a search folder.  Nada.

I believe there's a 24.4 Beta update, but last time I used it, exporting wasn't working so I gotta stay in 24.3.
