Selecting text on the edge of the Text Panel runs the scrolling to infinity till the bottom

Steps to reproduce:
    1. drag select text text in the thext panel

2. go slightly beyond the boundaries of the last line of text at the bottom near the edge of the text to initiate auto scroll down and it would likely go down to hell -- until it reaches the end of the whole text -- it won't stop even if trying to make several mouse clicks while it is going there

it is like a loop that cannot break until it hits the floor

Result: ...
Expected: to dynamically acellerate as mouse goes further the edge and to slow down if it's not

Indeed the slow response was present I noticed afterwards the ram was ate up by 90% so that could be the core to that behaviour...

Meanwhile it shouldn't be like that -- the timeline is pretty small, the longevity was around 15 minutes and I've done a lot havier then that one previously... and same timeline works fine in premiere 24.3 release version

@Eugene Mogrts,

I am testing in 24.3 at the moment. I'll test in Beta if I get a moment later. (Working on a project in 24.3 today.)

I do not see this issue. What I do see is a symptom of slow response. I wondered about that in one of your screenshots in another thread. How long is the transcribed clip/timeline?

I recognize the potential advantage of undocking the text panel. But as a test, I would dock it and zoom out on the timeline so only a short section is shown. Sometimes on captions, that can help performance.
