Setting end point overshoots by one frame when using up/down arrow to locate end of edit area

Steps to reproduce:
1. Edit a short section on a timeline that you want to export (3 or 4 clips)

  1. Tap the UP arrow on keyboard to select the first frame of the section
  2. Tap “I” to set the in point
  3. Tap the DOWN arrow on keyboard to select the last frame of the section
  4. Tap O to set the out point
  5. Export In to Out

Result: ...An extra blank frame is added to the export.  Looking closely at the timeline, it’s apparent that an extra frame has been added to the selection. As these are for a video loop, the black flash frame is apparent.
Expected: ...In previous versions no extra blank frame was selected.
  6. Workaround: Step back one frame and tap O. Last frame is selected and no more.

    Hello @MisterAdvent

With most NLE’s, “Go to Next Edit” or “Go to Next Edit on Any Track” will set you up where your Mark in or Mark Out encompass the full frame of which you are at the start of. Stepping back one frame to set your output is the typical workflow.

Premiere can also export by “Work Area” which should be from the first frame of Video in a sequence, to the last frame of video in a sequence. Please note that if you have audio ring out after the last frame of picture with no black video or adjustment layers above it, it will not be included. It may still show a black frame at the end of the preview before export, but will not be included in the export.

    Hope this helps!

    Best,

    Amy
