text tool issue in Premier Pro Beta (Build 54)

Any of the selector's Edit tools activate when adding characters in the text field from the Program View. I have already deactivated the keyword shortcuts and could not resolve the issue. This issue did not happen in the past until the latest build.

In your screenshot, I see:
(1) The Type tool is not selected
(2) The text in the Program Mon is not selected in any way (blue or red box)
(3) The Program Monitor is not in focus

All three of those conditions must be met for your keytrokes to go into the Text Layer and not trigger single-key shortcuts. This is what the readt-for-text-edit looks like:

Select the select tool (Arrow). Double-click on the Año word. What do you see?
