Text tool unable to edit

Steps to reproduce:
    1. Choose text tool

2. Click within program window and type
3. Click elsewhere
4. Click, double-click, or triple-click, or click and drag to try to edit the text that was placed
    
   Result: ...Cannot select the text. Have to use the Graphics panel to change it.
   Expected: … To be able to select the live text and edit it.

This is a new project created in this version..
