The Ellipse Tool in premier pro beta, does not work! I knew I shouldn't have updated the system today. (never update premier pro beta when you have a project due)

When trying to use the “ellipse tool” no shape is forming on the screen. The effect, just disappears

    A fix is available starting in Premiere Pro beta 26.3x52. When you can, please give the fix a try and let us know if it is working as you expect.

    Thanks for your report. I can reproduce this in today’s build of Premiere Pro.

    As a workaround, shape creation is still possible via the “Create new graphic” button at the bottom of the Properties panel (when no clips are selected), or from the top menu Bar Graphics and Titles > “New Layer”

    And as a best practice, it is recommended that you do not use the beta versions for critical production work in the event that something goes awry.

    Hello, 

    You make a good point in not using premier pro beta for “critical production work” but at the same time, whats the point in paying a full subscription for application if you cant use them to the fullest potential all the time?

     

    One would think, that a multi-million dollar company such as Adobe, would surely “pre-test” all updates before releasing to the public. 

     

    However, I do understand strange errors and mishaps may arise, but the frequency of which they happen is a little concerning… 

     

    Side note: Still isnt fix

    Beta versions are still in active development and features can change or be removed without notice which could become problematic if you’re relying on something for your workflow and something has changed completely. A lot of the beta features are fun and definitely check them out! You can run the beta and the release versions of the app side by side.

    Build 54 is available in today’s Creative Cloud Desktop, please download and try Premiere beta for the fix on this issue.
