The transcription / text feature

The transcription/text feature works with the source footage, but once the production timeline is assembled, it becomes buggy. Sometimes it provides the transcription with properly labeled speakers; other times it provides an unlabeled version with incorrectly timed text; but mostly it indicates that no dialogue is found.

Hi @BenRada I’m sorry that’s happening. One idea I had is that maybe the main audio clip(s) with your dialog is below some other audio clips. The dynamic transcription you see in your sequence is built prioritizing the audio on the top most track (A1, then A2, etc). So if other clips go on top of your main dialog, it can lead to the transcription in the Text panel showing a jumble of the transcriptions from the various clips. If that’s the case you can either make sure to put your main dialog above any other audio clips, or, you can right click on the non-audio clips and choose Ignore Transcript.

If neither of those are the issue, can you share a screenshot of your whole Premiere window, showing the timeline and the Text panel? Thanks!
