Timeline skip on delete & Search tool isnt working in project

When deleting clips in timeline/editing space the timeline skips forward by deafult. Incredibly frustrating. 
Search tool also isn't working in project - same issue in production/non-beta premiere pro 2025.

    Other bugs while im here:
    - audio levels not showing when 'enhancing speech' 

    - production premiere pro 2025: crashed everytime i tried transcripting clip *not having this issue with beta version though!*
