Type Tool Freezes PR after editing converted caption to graphic

Testing adding a new text graphic after converting captions to graphics. Got a white screen. Second time, just clicking with text tool (in Program Monitor) resulted in spinning cursor. Typing a letter goes to white and freezes.

 

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create new Project, import video, make sequence.

2. Transcribe, create captions, select all, convert to graphics.

3. Edit converted graphic; type tool is selected.

4. Click in another area of the Program Monitor; get spinning cursor

5. Type a letter; screen goes white; PR freezes.

Result: Freeze
Expected: New text would be typed.

Hi! Thanks for reporting this, Stan. Yes, we have also noted that some beta testers have run into a hang with graphics which was introduced with 23.1x62 (and is also in 23.1x63). We are on it. We are so grateful for users like you reporting this! Thanks!

Saw a post about the Text tool not working on a Mac in the release 23.0.0.

 

No captions and text tool works. Added captions and converted. Did NOT edit a caption, selected Text tool. Clicked in Program Monitor. Spinning cursor. Clicked in Project Panel, white-ish screen; PR freeze.
