Very Slow Peak file generation

Hello,

I'm currently trying to import some MKV files that contain one video track and six audio tracks.

One of the files, "2024-11-17 23-02-28.mkv", is approximately 3 hours long and around 24 GB in size. The estimated time for peak file generation is showing as 19 hours, which is significantly slower than real-time playback.

However, the peak file generation is taking an unusually long time. After several hours, the process appears to stall completely, and unfortunately, when I reopen the project, it starts over from the beginning.

Since the last update, scrubbing long videos has improved quite a lot. However, generating peak files for MKV videos still seems to be much slower than for MP4 videos.
