Video Clip not displaying during playback

when I stop the play head over one of my clips, I can see the clip, but when I play the video the clip is not showing.  Chatting with the AI assistant - this error appears to be with Film Impacts Bokeh effect on the clip.  It seems it can't render the frames in real time so they are being dropped

    You can say something about your hardware, so we’ll have a clue. Maybe give us Mac or PC. On a PC I just tried the bokeh effect and it works as expected. I had it over a still with a mask and the bokeh in the inverted mask. It did drop a few frames but I didn’t notice it on playback, only using the Dropped Frame Indicator.
