Why is my default transition suddenly "Cross Disolve (Legacy)"?

When opening a new project, the default transition does net set itself automatable to the Impact one if the default setting was set to the old one.

So, is what you're saying that the FI Dissolve Impacts has become the primary dissolve transitions, while the old ones have now become "Legacy?"

I no longer see FI effects listed, so I guess that integration is complete.

Makes sense.  The FI dissolves have a lot more control!

My suggestion would be to make this the default transition in new projects.  (This was a new project, one build ago.)

@MisterAdvent I'm not seeing what you're seeing, using the same beta version. In v26.1.1.24, the default transition should be "Cross Disssolve". This transition is the "FI: Dissolve Impacts" transition in v25.x; we've renamed it. 

If you have a v25 project that uses the v25 "Cross Dissolve", when you open it in v26.1.1, those transitions should be labelled on the timeline as "Cross Dissolve (Legacy)". However in that project, the new default transition will be still be "Cross Dissolve", which is also true of a new project created in v26.1.1. 

Would you mind deleting your preferences (shift + launch Premiere) and see if you observe the same thing? 

As part of the v26 release, we will be publishing documentation about how we've renamed some effects and transitions.

Its not a bug.

There are now two: the legacy and FilmImpact

Just change the default transition to FI cross dissolve.
