Unable to launch Project Neo (beta) - Google Chrome on Windows 11

I am unable to load Adobe Project Neo in the browser. When opening projectneo.adobe.com, the application fails to initialize and displays a client-side exception. The page does not fully load and the browser console shows multiple JavaScript and WebAssembly errors.

Key console errors include:

  • RuntimeError: function signature mismatch (neo_engine WebAssembly)

  • TypeError: Failed to construct 'URL': Invalid URL

  • TypeError: Invalid value used as WeakMap key

  • TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'message')

  • CustomElementRegistry error: "susi-sentry-light" already defined

  • Client-side exception occurred (Next.js)

Troubleshooting already attempted:

  • Hard refresh with cache disabled

  • Clearing site data

  • Reloading the page

Environment:

  • Browser: Chrome

  • OS: Windows 11

The error occurs immediately when loading the site before any document or project is opened.

    Hello @Chris Muscat

I’m sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind trying to launch Project Neo (beta) in a different web browser (Microsoft Edge v143 or later or Mozilla Firefox v141 or later) and checking if it works?

If yes, try resetting Google Chrome (https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214?hl=en) and share your observations.

Note: Resetting the web browser may delete your personal data and settings. Ensure to back up your data before resetting Google Chrome.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi @Callumario,

Sorry to hear you're running into this issue with Project Neo, that does sound frustrating.

Could you please confirm if the issue is only happening on Safari, or does it also occur when you try using Google Chrome?

If you haven’t tested it on another browser yet, it would really help if you could try launching Project Neo there and let us know how it behaves.

In the meantime, you can also try resetting Safari’s cache and website data by following this guide from Apple:
    https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/safari/sfri11471/mac

Looking forward to your update so we can help you further.

    Abhishek
