ColdFusion

I am pulling my hair out over this one. I am trying to run cfquery from this ColdFusion application using SQL 2000 as my Database. I have tried updating to SQL 2000 service pack 4 and installing the latest com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver SQL 2000 driver. Nothing seems to work. I am able to create DSN's okay. I tried making an ODBC connection and that did not work either. I have tried connecting ColdFusion to another SQL Server 2000 box and it works fine. Here is the error message I am getting. I know how to restrict access to a page based on individual IPs using:<cfif TRUE AND CGI.REMOTE_ADDR NEQ '123.45.67.80' AND #cgi.remote_addr# NEQ '123.45.67.81 AND #cgi.remote_addr# NEQ '123.45.67.84'>But I need to restrict access to a page to just allowing people in my local IP range to see it. Is there a way of excluding all IP except for those in, say, 123.45.67.80 through 123.45.67.99 without having to key in all of them individually?Thanks a lot!!

I have been developing ASP.Net web sites in Visual Studio for years. Now I am trying to learn ColdFusion. I like what I have seen so far. I have tried to take a training class twice this year only to have it cancelled. So I took an Old class online that is obsolete Coldfusion10 and not fully compatible with version I am running "ColdFusion 2016" I am trying to use ColdFusion Builder 2018. I have an issue I can't seem to solve. I have a sample ColdFusion website from the class I took on line and I can open/browse it in IIS. But when I try to open the main page in Builder "Index.cfm" I get this message. I am running ColdFusion 2016 Enterprise on a Windows 2016 Server.I have a few CFM files that are very database intensive (lots of inserts and deletions).I am finding out that when I execute these scripts, ColdFusion is apparently running them over and over again, deleting all records out of a table, then attempt to import data back in.   It does this concurrently;  I haven't been able to time when it begins to restart the script as of yet but I am working on that.Does anyone have an idea as to why it would restart the script multiple times, all of them running concurrently?I am connecting to an Oracle Instance.Message was edited by: Joseph Maitino

Hi all. I am looking for a solution that will allow me to edit content with images, save in database then render as a word doc. I hav tried serveral editors (tiny MCE, Summernote, etc.) and here is what happens.The image is saved along with the content as shown in the CFDUMP above.When I output this content in a cfm doc, it renders on the page.But when I save it as a word doc, I get a broken image:Any ideas of why this is happening?

Our Coldfusion 10 environment(Update 23) has been running for several years without any major issues.  Lately, at about every 60 hours or so, we are this database error: "Error Executing Database Query.[Macromedia][SequeLink JDBC Driver]TCP/IP error, connection refused. Is there a way to install Cold Fusion 2018 on Debian 9 (or other linux/unix) using ssh? My objective is to run Cold Fusion on Debian machine used primarily as a web server.  This debian machine runs several domains.  I need to run Cold Fusion on one of the domains.The problem I have is that machine has no client, so the Cold Fusion installation instructions seem to not apply. I have downloaded Cold Fusion 2018 (file name is ColdFusion_2018_WWEJ_linux64.bin).  All the installations I have done on this Debian machine have been accomplished using the debian package manager, APT.  I do not see any Cold Fusion package for Debian, so I am lost.Any information you can provide will be much appreciated.Thank you.

I have a web page where users submit a form and info is sent to a 3rd party vendor.The issue I have is that it takes a few seconds for the process to complete and my users are hitting the submit button multiple times.and its causing issues with multiple submissions to the 3rd party vendor.QUESTION:Is there a way to send the user to the next page as soon as they hit the submit button while the code processing takes place?So they cant hit the submit button more than onceLike thisSubmit buttonSend the user to the next pageContinue processing code with 3rd part vendor

Hi there,I am using CF2018 update 4 and flash player 32.0.0.223.  I have a cfgrid populated from a query.  One of the columns contain single percision floating point values between 2 and 60, usualy up to 5 significant figures.  For example, a value of 7.2 appers as 7.19999980926514 in the flash grid, but appear as 7.2 in html and java grid.  I tried setting a mask of 99.9999 for the column and it appears as 00.0000 for every row!  Any other settings I can use to correct the display issue or is this a bug?Can't use HTML grid until the fix for 4024128 is released so I am stuck with the java grid for the moment.Thanks in advance.

I have the necessity to encrypt an excel file generated by a web application developed by myself with Coldfusion. Currently my organization is using a third party software for accomplish the encryption piece with a PGP tool . My goal is to accomplish the encryption the excel file directly in the web application.Any suggestion on how to accomplish this?Thanks

Anyone know a good alternative for the rich text editor using ColdFusion.  I can get the rich text editor to work but the image button doesn't allow uploads and I know it used to be able to do it quite a few versions ago.

Hello, all,We recently had our CAPTCHA bypassed (not surprising, as I kind of had to do a hack-ish job with it due to some security restrictions) and I custom-built a new one.Apparently, our production environment is not 100% identical to our dev or staging environments, as it works well in those.I just received an email from the customer stating that 1) the CAPTCHA is not matching in FireFox (possibly due to a constantly changing JSESSIONID), and 2) IE11 will not display the image, at all.  I checked for #2, and in production IE11 does, indeed, _not_ display the image.On the code level, the image is being created like the following:<img style="width: 200px; height: 85px;" src="data:image/*;base64,{and a long string of blob data}" />Any suggestions?  I am at the end of my rope on this one.V/r,^ _ ^

We have a web app running on CF10.  When trying to migrate it to CF2016 update 4, we have a cfajaxproxy that is generating the following error.Invalid usage of AJAX tag.Use cfajaximport tag to specify SCRIPTSRC or make sure all ajax controls are inside a single cfform tag that has SCRIPTSRC.We are running on IIS 8.5 on Windows 2012 R2.  The website has a virtual directory /cf_scripts in IIS pointing to D:\ColdFusion2016\cfusion\wwwroot\cf_scripts and I can call any of the scripts directly through the web browser and see the JS.

I am moving from CF10 to CF2016 and I have discovered that the pages that contain a cfwindow command have significant styles being added. For example, the body statement which in my source has no other tags, now shows as having class="x-body x-webkit x-chrome x-rest" added and these styles change the appearance of the pages. This does not seem to happen on pages without a cfwindow. They are left as I coded them.I've tracked the effects thru Chrome Developer Tools, and the style sheet ext-all.css, which is part of ext JS 4.1 is doing the damage. The result is changes in font size and spacing on the web page. This did not happen in CF10 and so far I have not found any pages without cfwindow statements that have the same problem.So why is it doing this? How can I stop that behaviour without creating special versions of style sheets that are used only on those pages? This affects a number of websites.

I had some code that was developed for a windows server to create some image files. The destination parameter had backslashes in the path. When run on a Coldfusion 9  linux server, the files ended up in the top directory with long filenames consisting of ' directory\directory\filename'.  Now I need to delete them. I've tried cffile action="delete" file="directory\\directory\\filename">.
