I have a web form, something like:<form><input type="text" name="objectives" value="This is a test"><input type="text" name="objectives" value="And another, if you know what I mean."><input type="text" name="objectives" value="And yet another."><input type="submit" name="btnGo" value="Do It"></form>And an action page that submits it to a db. The trouble is, the objectives will have commas in them, occasionally, and CF turns each comma into a list item, so my loop looks like:This is a testAnd anotherif you know what I meanAnd yet anotherbut I want:This is a testAnd another, if you know what I meanAnd yet anotherWhat I want to do is loop through the objectives, retaining the commas within the elements. I've been struggling with this for days. I'm testing out CF2016 Enterprise as a possible upgrade for my existing CF9 application, and I'm running into a major issue with existing code that works fine in CF9 where I read a BLOB image from my Oracle database and write it out to my filesystem as a JPG.  The code looks something like this (redacted for security):... We are using java plugin for Crystal reports which supports up to Internet Explorer 10. So i have enabled IE compatibility view to run the reports in IE11. Is there a way to enable compatibility view for entire application.Thanks

Hello,I have recently installed Coldfusion2016, along with it I've configured the apache server which was installed through xampp. I'm totally newbie to this all.As in to check if CGI variables I copied the script ColdFusion Help | Testing for CGI variables written here.It is showing me output as "CGI variable does not exist".Can anyone help me out? Hi. I have some javascript on my Add New Part page that has a form that says if a Part Number has a C and then a number behind it (like C1557), and the CN_Entry_Initials equal an "N", and the Validation_Qty is blank, make a Javascript error message display saying to enter a Validation Qty. I am trying to make this work on my Edit page also, but the error message does not display. I think it's because I have the input text box for the Part Number disabled. We don't want users to be able to update the part number once it's entered. If I just output the result of the Part Number, the javascript still doesn't work. How can I get the javascript to pop up an error message if the Part Number is C1557 (and the part number is just output to show the result), the CN_Entry_Initials equal an "N", and the Validation_Qty is blank? We are running CF11. I am using Cold Fusion Report Builder. When I open a report in Report Builder I am able to run and modify the query for about 5 minutes. Then I get the Error Occurred message. How can I stop the RDS server from dropping me?

I've got a web app that allows users to save database results as a PDF file (I use cfdocument for this).  There's also an option for them to select up to 20 records to PDF and zip (I use cfzip for this) but with almost 6000 records in the database, I don't want PDFs to pile up. It's easy to make the script delete the zipfile after download, but I'm trying to figure out a way to clean up the PDFs.One idea was to stick a unique identifier in the PDF filenames, then delete everything with a wildcard, but is there a better way?

I have installed the Coldfusion 11 Standard Edition in Windows Server 2012 R2 with 2GB RAM and IIS 8.5. “Adobe ColdFusion Launcher Application” exe consumes more CPU memory in the process say around 86% and slows down or stops running the Application. Hi. I just have a simple number range and I want to output the results. What I have outputs the results, but for some reason, it only displays the first result. Why does it not display the correct result? I believe I found a bug in CF11 with DateTime comparisons when dealing with UTC converted values going through serializeJSON then deserializeJSON. I did modify the code to not include the local2utc conversion and that seemed to produce correct results. So, while I do use ColdFusion at work, I also use it on my personal website, where I host a blog and photo gallery.Whenever I click on a post or a gallery pic, I notice that the URL is appended with some sort of token. For instance, this:http://mysite/post/2224 becomes this:http://mysite/post/2224#.VmKaAipG_0It makes for some pretty ugly URL strings when I want to paste something to someone.My host uses CF9 (I think) and Linux.  Is there an obvious reason it does this?  I'm using session management and client cookies in Application.cfc, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I am following these instructions for creating/exporting a j2ee archive (WAR or EAR) for coldfusion 9. http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/9.0/Admin/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbf364104-7fd1.htmlHowever, after selecting my settings, there is a "Submit" and a "Cancel" button. There is no "Create" button. I do not see a .WAR file anywhere on my server, although it has created a directory structure with some xml files, etc. I was expecting just a WAR file. Any help/idea?
