My hosting server is CF9. Want to upgrade to Builder 3, but it defaults to CF11. Can I change to CF 9? How?

I'm moving an old app from CF8 to CF10 (Standard, 10,0,16,293499).  Pretty smooth transition except for one specific page that calls a webservice on our .NET webserver.  The CF8 app runs fine, here is the code snippet:<cfscript>WSoptions = {};WSoptions["username"] = "xxx";WSoptions["password"] = "xxx";ws = CreateObject("webservice", "http://hqimpetl01/searchAPI/toExcel.asmx?WSDL", WSoptions);blah blah blah blah</cfscript>The reason for setting the timeout is that some calls to the webservice can result in manipulating a lot of data.When I run it on CF10, I get this error:Web service operation _setProperty with parameters {axis.connection.timeout,30000} cannot be found. How do you indent multiple lines of code in CFBuilder 3?  In CFB 2 I used Ctrl + Alt + Arrow Key.  That does not seem to be working in CFB 3.TIA

I would like to design an audit system for our department's intranet, please keep in mind, that I am not a programmer.How I invision it is audit templates would be created, there would be questions that are asked and will always have a response of yes / no / NA, plus a small window to type note.  If there is a no, it will likely also need a corrective action.  There may be 1 question or 25, each audit will be different.Then when the audit is created I would select one of the templates and create an audit for a user to perform.  The responses need to be stored electronically.  Again ir there is a "no" response, it will need an entry in another table for a corrective action.Each template will be used many times.Using a crude method I could create a table for each audit template, but that doesn't make it a very flexible system.How do I create the tables for something like this?  I'm using MS SQL.Thank you for any tips on getting this started.

CF11 ColdFusion.Window.Create has no scrollbars. It has now been about 5 years since this bug has been in cold fusion. It won't populate cold fusion flash forms in chrome. Bug#3556744 - Flash forms created with CFFORM format="flash" do not render properly in Google ChromeCan I request that this is sorted out asap, it is pathetic that is hasn't been fixed yet!

I'm having problems getting cfpdfform to render the text-field font as it exists in the source pdf form.The source pdf form was created in Acrobat 9 Standard.When I download the pdf from the server using cfcontent, the text-fields look as expected, retaining their designated font (and the pdf has the desired fonts embedded).However, when I do a cfpdfform action="populate", the text-field font is switched with Courier (even though the desired fonts remain embedded).This happens regardless of what font I pick.I have verified that the font exists on the server and in cf admin.Here's my code:<!--- populate ---><cfpdfform action="populate"            source="#pdfPathFile#"            destination = "#pdfPathFile#"            overwrite = "yes">    <cfpdfformparam name="student_name" value="first name and last name"

Google Maps has a restriction on how many map markers can be requested per second.  The limit is ten per second.  I am looking for the "best Practice" on how coldfusion developers address this limitation.  I am looking to display a map of the US with 125 location markers.  Ideally I would like to cache the map for retrieval for both efficiency purposes and to avoid depletion of the total requests that Google allows per day.  Thanks in advance for any insight that you can lend.

My question is essentially this:How do I transform data from SQL Server and map it in Leaflet?HINT: We are running Coldfusion 11, SQL Server 2000, Leaflet and JQuery if that helps in any way. I am using query of query to run against a product search using verity.  I have sort buttons that can sort the results by name or price, asc and desc.  When sorting by price, it is not sorting properly.  Here is an example:$110.00 $110.00 $115.00 $124.00 $24.00 $36.00 $40.00 And so on.  What is going on?  Is there any way to fix this?  Thanks.

I have just bought a Coldfusion license for a client and I realized I need a testing environment. Since I work remotely from my clients site, I would want to have a testing site that is online. What are the rules on this can I install the license on the testing server that is only accessible to my client and not to the general public?

Hi. I have a currency field on a form page that gets inserted into a currency field in Access. Is there  a way to check the validation of this field so it's correct before it gets added to the database? I can't use the Integer validation because that requires whole numbers and won't allow decimal points. I also have the $ pre-filled in. I could remove that if I had to. I just want an error to display letting the user know that they entered the dollar value incorrectly. There have been some issues with some people entering a number like 52.00.00 and it errors out and things get all goofed up in the database. Thanks for your help.Andy

I'm developing an app. in CF10. It's been determined that this app. will be opened through a link that is created in a dot net app.Users need to log in & log out through the dot net app.  To see the link, user need to log in then my CF app open up once users click that link so there is no log in/out requirement from my CF app.The link passes a user id through url, I need to use url.userid to create CF session.userid.So I created the session user id in onSessionStart in application.cfc :<cfset session.userid = #Trim(URL.userid)#>The problem is, when I log out and log back in as a different user, my previous session.userid still exists. So I have two different session.userids.In order to avoid this I thought I can do the following in onSessionStart in my application.cfc:<cfset sessionInvalidate() /><cfset session.userid = #Trim(URL.userid)#>Since every time the application start CF has to go through application.cfc first my thought would be that sessionInvalida

Hi,in CF10, I'm trying to print barcodes with ttf barcode fonts inside a PDF document generated with the cfdocument tag. The barcode is generated, but with wrong spacing.The code printing the barcode is quite simple:<span style='font-family:Code-39-25-DMI;font-size:32.0pt;letter-spacing:0px'>*BKUM70709997B*</span>This is what it should look like:cfdocument renders the barcode like this:The spacing between the individual barcode characters is wrong. I have login code that has worked perfectly for years. It still works in development, but has stopped working in production. The only change has been a recent "upgrade" to ColdFusion 11. Here's what's happening.User logs in.SESSION.login is set.User moves around from page to page and finally clicks a link that's formatted like so, "/admin." (The entire site is configured in IIS to use index.cfm as a default document.)SESSION.login (along with a number of other session variables) disappears so the user is take to the login screen even though he/she has already logged in.Now, if I change the link in step three above to be "/admin/index.cfm." then the session variables do not disappear and the user is simply taken to the page like they should be instead of being prompted to login again. I have no idea why the elimination of the directory's default document the link would trigger ColdFusion to purge session variables (especially when it's always worked fine in the past), but it does. Hello.I'm currently running ColdFusion 9.0 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine.  I need to uninstall ColdFusion altogether so that I may reinstall it.  My ColdFusion came with an 'uninstall' directory, which contains the file "Uninstall Adobe ColdFusion 9.exe".  However, when I try to run this program, I get a JVM error.  I've tried running this program as adminstrator, as well as updating my JVM to the newest version (in the case that it was a version mismatch).  This hasn't solved anything.I then turned to the "Programs and Features" section of the control panel, where it shows an "Adobe ColdFusion 9" instance.  But, when I try to uninstall here, I get the message "You do not have sufficient access to uninstall Adobe ColdFusion9.  Please contact your system administrator."  I am logged in as the administrator, and am able to uninstall other programs.Any ideas or information would be greatly appreciated!Thanks,

I recently migrate code from a CF8.01 instance to a freshly installed/updated CF11 instance. As I was going through some testing I ran into an issue where the "setter" methods within a CFC are not setting the values of the locally scoped instance data within the CFC. The exact same code works on CF8. I read a couple articles which made reference to a new attribute of the cfcomponent tag (accessors=true) that will implicitly create getters/setters. I am not using this attribute so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it.
