dreamweaver crashing

Your latest Dreamweaver download doesn’t work.   It wont allow me to install any of my extensions ( It says "file is corrupt" on every extension when i use either ZXP installer or Anastasiys ).  However , when I roll back to the previous version of Dreamweaver it allows me to install all my extensions with no problem ( proving there is no issue with any extension ) - but is unreliable and crashes whenever I open a PHP page. This has never happened before until recently and the pages in question have been working for years,  Please can you help me

I’m having similar (but different) problems. Dreamweaver crashes if I try to open more than one file at a time. And if I’m careful to open only one, it regularly crashes after I’ve opened four or five in succession. It also asks me, each time I open it, if I’ll allow it access to other files.

I get that this is a dying application. But if you’re going to put it out there, please make sure it works.

Note to Self: ween yourself off of Adobe products.

My experience with 21.8 is similar. None of my extensions would install, and had to roll back to 21.6.

I’m on a M2 Mac, OS 26.5

Cannot believe adobe dont check things like this before releasing an update . Surely the update should be fully tested

When you mention the previous version, which version are you referring to... and which extension are you trying to install... ? That might explain the situation...

Hi Lena

I have manged to re-install 21.6 and then all the extensions i have ( Mainly extend studios and Project Seven ) will install correctly and the php pages will open perfectly.

When I updated to 21.8 - neither ZXP installer , Anatasiys or DMX Zone would install any extensions - generating an error “ Cannot Parse - extension corrupted “. As soon as I roll back to any earlier version I can then install my extensions with no problem. 21.7 crashed a lot - so I have now gone back to 21.6 which at least is allowing me to work again.

It is sad that the newest version is causing problems.
