Is the Library being phased out?

The Library is very limited in its functions, and often workarounds are required for tasks the Library should logically handle.

My example - organizing and sharing swatches between apps. There are several workarounds available because the library doesn't support a clear, simple procedure. Yes, it CAN perform the task, but it is awkward and doesn't provide everything needed for this type of task.

How many people actually use the Library over Bridge or other file management tools?

Thank you so much for the feedback. I would love to understand more about some of the functionality you would like Libraries and what may be limiting. I see that you mentioned that the capabilities don't provide everything needed for the tasks.

Are there any other examples that you would like to do that Libraries don't offer? Are your swatches showing up consistently in Libraries across the various applications you access?
