Version history for synced files

I cannot see any history for my synced documents to Adobe Assets, and I guess the feature only works with documents in the cloud, that I do not use. Aside from the problem of having two places to store documents to Adobe cloud, having different features for them is also problematic.

I just found this tool panel and there is no history in my documents, whereas if I go to Creative Cloud synced assets, the exact same History icon is there, but no statuses are produced in the PS app.

Why can't I use this with my synced files? Instead, I have to go to my browser and look for the file and then go to a previous state.
