Lets borrow node connection ideas from Blender please

Like ctrl + stroke across connected lines  disconnects  them .   Shift+ stroke across connecting lines   make shared  or multiple reroute points.       It's so much more convenient  than designer way really.

Alt + move   disconnect  selected node  from connecting lines on both sides  and if you move it next to another connecting line it connects automatically when you release Alt .     Ctrl+shift +D  duplicates connected node .

Bypass M   works on nodes with multiple similar  connections, not just single  input nodes .   Never works for  material blend nodes in Designer for example.

copy paste  driver to driven  input   . one click solution vs   gazillions exposed parameters   and never ending mess of  extra  created  inputs  in between nodes .

lasso node selection , I miss it so much in designer .

A single math node with drop down list of functions.   lets have one with simple arithmetic at list . like + - / *     . same for boolean math and > < =   . could be easier be switchable within same node .

linked /library nodes  you can turn local to current file. i.e embedded   by just hitting  small  chain-link  button  and then edit them without messing the library item .

Blender is so much more convenient in so many things.   It's beside  the fact you can ask ChatGPT to  make you a python script  for Blender and it will really work .   Never had such lack with Designer python.

Hello @kirkr5689,

Thanks for suggestions.

We indeed have room for improvement when talking about "shortcuts" for Designer.

I'm personally not a huge fan of Blender's solution, because I sometimes think they're too much relying on shortcuts, making basic manipulations not so intuative for non extensive users.

That being said, there is a lot of interesting workflow suggestions you made here.

Regarding ChatGPT, this is not in our hands.
