An option to attach markers to clips in multitrack view, rather than attaching them to the timeline

Currently in Audition's multitrack editor, markers can only be attached to the timeline. It would be helpful to have an option to attach markers to individual clips, so that when those clips are moved in the timeline the markers move with them.

The only way to achieve this right now is to go into waveform view and place a marker there. This is pretty inconvenient and involves a lot of clicking back and forth between views.

This is EXTREMELY crucial. I produce a podcast of the same name as my username (you can find it on Odysee), and Audition has become our last resort production software for this venture - rather than our first. I have been actually switching to Cakewalk for the content-editing portion of our production, because Cakewalk includes the "rippling" function - which means you can move a clip, and ALSO move everything that comes after it - including markers. (And no, inserting dead space or removing very set points on the timeline does not count as a "ripple" functionality in my opinion. I don't always know how the audio waveforms are gonna line-up until I try it a few times, so what Audition calls "ripple delete" is kind of useless to me anyway)

This is such an elementary functionality for content producers, I don't know how Adobe could manage to put it on a "backlog," much less not have it implemented from the start. I have seen threads going back to 2017 regarding this lack in functionality, and it's such an obvious necessity I'm not even sure why we should have to vote on it.

Even DaVinci Resolve, which we use for the Video portion of the production (and is Free), would be easier to content-edit with as it includes the ripple feature as well - but unfortunately, its audio engineering engine is still inferior to Audition, so I'm kind of stuck. Would be great if you gave us another reason to use Audition as our primary content editing App, but judging by the lack of urgency assigned to this topic, I'm not gonna hold my breath anytime soon.

Wow, this has been hindering my workflow for years. Absolutely desperately needed.

I don't think it's very complicated to get this done. because if you can specify at a marker whether it should be connected to the timeline or to a specified clip/clipgroup (which may be on tracks below it. ) then only the clips/clipgroup you move should include the markers. and leave the rest of the markers where they are.

I work on community radio compiling classical and jazz programs. I keep loosing the beginnings of works, or cant identify them because the point markers will not move with the clip. Its so time consuming to have to write the details, then write them again as soon as they are moved. Working from home, as so many of us are, you need all the speed and practicality you can get! Thank you.

For me, markers are rendered useless if I can't move them along with the audio. Please add this functionality!
