Be able to paste text to rename markers

I sometimes need to split up a file into hundreds of seperate files and use markers to do this. Currently- I see no way to copy the text from my script and paste it into the marker name- so I need to manually type the name of each new file when I rename the marker.  Please add the ability to paste text onto the marker name.

I don't think you've tried very hard! If you click on the name in the marker list, it will highlight - just as any other small text box does in Audition. When it's highlighted, you can paste text into it. I did it with a range, but it works just the same with individual markers:

If you want even more flexibility with markers and external text, then you need CueListTool. This will let you do pretty much anything with markers, including exporting them all to a spreadsheet. It's been around almost forever, and it's completely free - CueListTool
