Deselect clip keyframes after deselecting clips automatically

This would be so great to add, as I do a lot of podcast editing in Audition which requires multiple volume key frames to be modified, and then later I go to delete a section on that same clip and that clip keyframe is still selected, so instead of deleting the section, it deletes that key frame. Really frustrating haha.

So the option to have keyframes deselect automatically after the clip is no longer selected would be amazing!!

Thanks!

Hi Steve, I think you misunderstood. I only use clip gain and pan on the clip itself as you explained.

Problem is, you add keyframes as you need, then go edit something else, and when you select a clip you had edited keyframes on, they are still selected, so you have to deselect them before you can then hit the delete key to get rid of a section of audio because it you don't, it deletes the still selected keyframe.

It's just very inconvenient, as for every clip keyframe, you have to deselect before being able to do another action...

Perhaps unfortunately, but quite understandably, track keyframes relate only to tracks, and there is no connection between those and clips. But if it's only volume (or pan) changes you want to do, then you can keyframe edit those on the clip itself, rather than the track. These will move with the clip. If you delete a section of the clip with the Delete key, then it will appear to split into two, with each section retaining its keyframes, but the clips will still be joined - as you discover when you try moving them. If you put a split in a clip with keyframes though, the keyframes remain on each side, but the clips can be moved independently. So I suspect that most of what you need to be able to do, you can manage with clip keyframing rather than track keyframing...
