Dragging two mono clips onto a stereo track creates a stereo clip

If I have two mono clips on two separate mono tracks, a cool feature would be the ability to select both clips, and drag them onto an empty stereo track, which automatically creates a stereo clip containing the audio. This would be very helpful when it comes to stereo delays, reverbs, etc.

Just started using Adobe Audition in an attempt to move away from Pro Tools- this feature would be really practical and a huge time saver when it comes to working in tandem with Premiere.

Merging multi mono into multitrack in the multichannel editor as well as splitting them would be so cool.
Especially when working with Premiere on the other end which twiggles with stereo, dual mono, double mono, multiple copies of false mon tracks and so on.

YES! what a waste of time to not be able to combine the L/R channels onto one channel strip.

Hey! I have the same problem. I usually mix on Pro tools and I'd like to test audition which sounds nice but I have a 30 min OMF project, so only mono tracks that I'd like to put back into stereo source as it's easy to do in pro tools (drag and drop clips to the new stereo track). What is the solution on Audition? Apart from making a group track, I can't see
