Option for mouse key customization

More and more mice (mouses?) have multiple keys. It would we tremendiously helpful to remap mouse keys to user functions as is possible with keyboard shortcuts.

I would prefere that the scroll wheel could also be used to scroll in time, instead of zooming in and out.
It would be great to map the additional mouse keys to functions as well.

That is a function of your mouse driver software, usually reached from an icon available from your toolbar.

As far as your point 1 is concerned, if you hit the Shift key and scroll, you get time scrolling - that facility is already there.
