Ripple Delete in Multitrack Mode Takes a Long Time

The ripple delete feature in multitrack mode takes 2-3 seconds to complete for each edit. I edit podcasts, and use this tool often so it's a huge productivity killer. I've found that restarting Audition makes it faster temporarily, but 15-20 ripple deletes later, it gets slow again. On macOS, it causes the "loading spinner" to appear as well. I've attached a video showing the issue.

FYI what has *NOT* helped:

1. turning off or removing effects from tracks

2. Chat support: informed me that "It is possible that your session has some issues, so please work on a new session."

I am experiencing the same issue as original poster, in the same working environment. I'm running the current version of the app. Restarting the app and restarting the machine have not fixed the issue.

I am editing not very complex projects (4-6 tracks) with plenty of memory and no other projects open.

I have this issue as well. I can edit a normal 60min podcast with 2-4 people using typical effects (ie speech volume leveler, Parametric EQ, Dynamics etc) with no issue in lag time while using ripple delete UNTIL the moment I save as a new session and add new elements, such as music, intros, pickups and/or address producer notes. So I feel like it could be a bug when duplicating the session or adding additional elements after a first pass. I'm working on a MacBook Pro 2019 using Catalina with most current version of Audition.
