Trackpad use has degraded in recent updates

I use a Magic Trackpad or MBP touchpad when working in Audition. I could scroll and pinch to zoom in with precision (even while the audio was playing). In the last few updates, this has gone downhill in a big way. Scrolling almost invariably now zooms out and the scrolling motion is... I believe the term is "janky". PLEASE fix -- this is adding significant time to my editing workflow. What was once seamless and invisible is now a glaring time suck. Thanks for looking at it.

    The problem still exists in 2022. MacBook Pro 2021 16 inches. Version 22.4.0.49

    Big upvotes. I'm generally very precise with my trackpad gestures and this is the only app where I try to scroll side to side and instead end up zooming in and out and just getting frustrated.

    It would be great if we could just disable "Mouse Wheel Zoom" in favor of keyboard shortcuts (- and 😃 or pinch to zoom. In my attached video, I'm only trying to scroll left and right yet any slight vertical motion causes the unwanted zoom effect.

    10% is the default. You might have, long, long ago, set it to a number that is more to your liking and then forgot about it. Then installing the update set it back to the default. If you still have the old versions installed you might want to look and see what it was set to.
    Or just adjust it and see if you can get it to a setting that feels normal to you.

    Thanks Matt -- What would be "as expected"? It's set at 10% and I've never, to my knowledge, adjusted it.

    Could you check that the setting "Preferences>General>Zoom Factor (Time)..." percent is set as you would expect it? This could be that you had this set to a different percentage in a precious version and as you updated that percentage was not moved forward.
    I mentioned this because there hasn't been any code changes that I'm aware of in Audition that could cause any changes.

    I personally find a lower number to be a little easier to use, but the setting can be affected by the type of mouse that is used.

    Honestly, I can't pinpoint it -- Possibly early 13, maybe 12? I'd say in the last 6 months?
