Create a feature that transcribes audio to text. This feature use to be available in Premiere Pro CC 8.1 and older versions. Improve the technology and implement it into Audition CC

This would be so important for handling bigger speech projects. Hard to understand why this in Premiere but not already in Audition.

Now transcriptions are available in Premiere, this should be a no-brainer.

I’d love for transcription to be a standard part of the ingest workflow in Audition and Premiere Pro. A time-synced text track would be layered above the waveform to assist with cuts. There are plenty of cost-effective machine generated transcript solution out there, including from AWS. I don’t need a final product from the initial transcript but good enough would help with editing, search ability, accessibility, and asset management.
