I agree. Transcription is already in Premiere Pro! The transcription doesn’t necessarily work that great but I would rather have it that not. Adobe charges so much and yet they miss so many things!

I’d love for transcription to be a standard part of the ingest workflow in Audition and Premiere Pro. A time-synced text track would be layered above the waveform to assist with cuts. There are plenty of cost-effective machine generated transcript solution out there, including from AWS. I don’t need a final product from the initial transcript but good enough would help with editing, search ability, accessibility, and asset management.
