P: Naming brush pins

Lightroom Classic, possibility to rename the records in the history panel, in particular the stages of the filters.

Note, on the images in Lightroom Desktop, these pins are more visible.

Because it is often very difficult to find the pins on the image.

Or create a special recording for each pin where we can rename the Title.

I have this improve in my wish list. And as a software developer, I know this improvement is not a long work.

I guess lightoom need layers for the adjustments brushes and gradients, as alternative for layers you could just add naming ability for each 'edit' pin - when I used about 20 brush pins it's hard to verify which one I need without any flags. I think this should be very useful feature

another suggestion I have - on the slow machines is very hard to use multiple brushes - lightroom just hangs after opening hardly edited raw. so my suggestion on this point - you could just add ability to turn off applied brushes - for example I added some adjustments to the model's eyes on the photo and then just turned that pins off, to make it easier for computer to render the photo. It's really hard for me to edit 20mb raw with 15-20 brushes on core2duo & 6gb ram machine

Names as "brightness ++" could be OK and I need that each pin can be on/off-ed to see changes of every pin. Not all at the same time!

Show us some effort and mark appreciated ideas as "planned",
"under review", "declined", "completed". We would love it!

A very similar suggestion has been made in the past already.

Don't get your hopes high. Even bugs that would take a minute to fix have been left unaddressed.

As the LR4 feature set demonstrated, the development is largely unaffected by what is suggested/discussed here.

And if the edit history includes the name of the pin to which the brush stroke has been applied, that would be great too. It sometimes takes a Sherlockean Holmes effort to back-track in the case of paint-related mistakes...

Note: there should be a default name that includes the coordinates of the pin and the date/time it was created, so even if you don't take the time to invent more specific naming, there will be a clue which pin is which...

That's a pretty good idea. Just one more piece of metadata against the pin itself.
