P: preset backup restore

Since so many people have difficulties installing, finding, deleting or simply managing their presets, lete alone moving them from one machine to another, why not add a backup/restore for presets to LR? I could fairly easily be added to the catalog backups. If a separate function, the resulting zip file could be passworded with something based on the user ID to prevent piracy.

Why this hasn't yet been implemented is beyond me. For just a few KBs of cloud space - the cloud space that each Adobe member already pays for - why haven't auto-backups of Develop presets, Export Presets, and, heck, even catalogs (minus previews of course), been implemented in LRCC?? I'd really like to know, like, for real.

The CC ecosystem is begging to be filled up (Adobe's not so subtle nudge to get us to pay them more $ for cloud storage), so why not fill it with data that could actually be useful when migrating systems or, ya know, a HDD crash like I recently experienced (yes I made backups of MOST Develop presets but not all).

I can't believe that it's 2021 and I'm still asking for this. Anyone else want this too? I can't imagine that I'm the only one here...

Glad you are not linked to adobe in any way.
Since that's untrue, don't be too glad.

All i can say is dear Andrew sucks beyond words, has no understanding of the issue, nor any clue of users of LR. Clueless like so many, pompous like so many others. You should be not allowed on this forum with an arrogant poisonous opinion as you have. Glad you are not linked to adobe in any way. As it should be.

There is no f... manual anymore as adobe managed to keep pages alive that are old, make pages hard to find that are needed depending on versions. My lord, you really are just as clueless as those who need that tiny bit of extra help to get things sorted. There is no discussion with you just a monologue and darn, aren’t you thinking how great you are. Guess again, the only thing you excel at is failing to understand others. Imagine everyone being like you. Nothing would get done, sorted or fixed. Cause in all that greatness the helping the lesser knowledgable is not done. So unjust. So imperfect. Hashtag fail seems the only thing that ends this.

I've also worked on software projects. The code to include  files that already exist in a known locations with known filenames into a zip file that is already being created is not hard. Nor expensive.

And I thought that this forum was to get ideas to make a better, easier product. It turns out to be just to create better users? I must have missed something...
