I would love to be able to perform color scaling in Camera Raw as well. That would save time because it's easier to batch process and scale the color of a bunch of images simultaneously. The possibilities for editing in Camera Raw are numerous, so why not also have the option to scale colors by finding the hex number?

I think a little background is relevant here.

Hexadecimal is just base 16 notation for ordinary RGB numbers. Contrary to popular belief, there is nothing "absolute" about hex numbers. They are relative to color space just like any other RGB numbers. A given hex number will produce different colors in different color spaces.

Hex originated in a time before modern color management. As such, it usually refers to sRGB, or just plain Monitor RGB without any color management. It has survived because it's a convenient shorthand for 8 bit RGB values.

So if hex is to have any purpose in ACR, you'd have to set ACR workflow options to sRGB and keep it there. That sort of works against normal use scenarios for the ACR plugin, so it doesn't really have a natural function there. It makes more sense in Photoshop.
