We are working on a heavily automated workflow with lots of assets of the same kind. Therefore we need a lot of tools and scripts to make it work. Currently there is no way to access the layers of the project from the Python SDK. Please add it to the interface.

@Cyril Dellenbach Would also be great to have the API documentation updated. Its a bit hard to read. some things are in multiple locations but spelled a bit different and its not really clear on how to aproach it unless i check the example. But the example does not contain everything 😛

@Cyril Dellenbach Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to future updates for Painter 😄 since having more API functions exposed will allow us to create custom tools for our pipeline to make project configurations much more smoother 🙂

    Hello @Renderpeople GmbH,

    Thanks for the message.

As @Sokol Mehmeti said, there is for sure some API functions that need to be exposed. We know this is an expected feature, but I can't tell you much more except to be patient. We always try to meet the artitsts' needs.

    Best regards,
