Change background color in uv viewport?

When drawing in 2D view the background color is too dark, is there anyway to change the background color.

Yes 3D view's background can be changed, be it will be helpful if you can add that to uv view too.

There is indeed an option to edit the general background color, but not the background color of the UV tile.

Preferences > General > Interface Options
