Expand on the 3D feature to be able to model more complex items or at least be able to import modeled objects into illustrator for realistic mock up presentations

The 3D feature offered today in Illustrator is great, however, it’s very limiting. Packaging Designer are not 3D designers and learning/using expensive modeling software is not practical. If the 3D feature in Illustrator can be expanded to model slightly more complex objects, like asymmetrical packaging components, will be extremely valuable for our industry.
