Feature Requests

For those of us who want to use the aps for what they were originally designed for, versions of every Adobe ap with all AI features removed. 

The only way to unlock an object is by clicking the lock icon on it.I think we should add a shortcut for unlocking selected objects as an alternative option.

The Hand tool reaches its limits when the mouse cursor touches the edge of the screen. On a fairly large workspace, this forces you to zoom out and re-centre to avoid scrolling for too long. In Blender, there is no limit; you can scroll indefinitely. The only limit is physical: the mouse touches the wall or moves off the desktop. It may not seem like much, but for someone looking to optimise their working time, it makes a difference.  L’outil Main atteint ses limites quand le curseur de la souris touche le bord de l’écran. Sur un espace de travail assez grand cela oblige à dézoomer et recentrer afin d’éviter de scroll trop longtemps. Dans Blender, il n’y a pas de limite, on peut défiler à l’infini, la seule limite est physique, c’est la souris qui touche le mur ou sort du bureau. Ca n’a l’air de rien mais pour quelqu’un qui veut optimiser son temps de travail, ca compte. 

I use the Blob Brush to outline the shape of a fill but then have to delete the floating vertices inside of the shape, it would be nice to have a checkbox in the Blob Brush Tool Options that removed/undid any Compound Paths. That way you can stop interrupting your Blob Tool brushing to delete the hollow center, so to speak. In this example, I’m using the Blob tool to create a cell that will eventually be a shadow. I would like the Blob Tool to have an option that releases the compound path after de-selection and remove the inside path. This would alleviate the need to deselect, use the Direct select tool to delete the inside vertices, and would let an artist continue using the Blob Tool without having to interrupt the workflow. Procreate doesn’t even do this yet.

The 3D feature offered today in Illustrator is great, however, it’s very limiting. Packaging Designer are not 3D designers and learning/using expensive modeling software is not practical. If the 3D feature in Illustrator can be expanded to model slightly more complex objects, like asymmetrical packaging components, will be extremely valuable for our industry.Thank you for listening,

I want to be able to flip my cursor or change it’s style 

As seen in “New Alignment Example.png” and “Irregular Alignment Examples.png”, a user would set a key object, and the source rectangles of the remaining selected objects would align their adjacent edges to the key object’s source rectangle edge.  

A programme just like the new Affinity - where vector and raster are supported and there’s no need to jump from one app to another for each project, with Adobe’s most powerful tools, would be amazing and helpful to so many creatives.

I am a university teacher which uses Illustrator for live lectures, where I scribble and draw a lot of graphics and formulas (I teach physics). Illustrator provides me with an excellent tool for the job, as I can mix graphics and images to create very effective slides live, while talking to the student.To achieve better communication, I uses different colors to identify different part of the equations and drawings (e.g. forces, speeds, etc...). It would make it much easier if it were possible to program the stylus button to cycle trough a programmable set of colors, or tools, or brushes.This would allow, for example, to preset a palette of colors, as well as a set of tools like select, brush, line, and circle, covering the entire need for a lesson, making them accessible by simply pushing on the pen buttons. Ideally, side button would cycle one set (e.g. colors), and the top button the other set (e.g. tools). But this is just an example, the idea could cover many more scenarios.This sh

Good DayIs it possible to create a function where you can abort save and revert to last save? This is because sometimes when you are saving a file it will show the rainbow ball of death continuosly and it either takes a long time for the file to save or the file crashes and sometimes doesn't restore last save.Can there be an option to abort saving because at the moment you have to let Illustrator do it's thing and it not really feasable when you are on a tight dealine and you have to wait 30 min or more for a file to save.Abort button can be a great function please!!

It would be very helpful to have all of the stroke options available, like rounding the edges on stroke corners and end caps and stroke alignment, etc. I know this is likely just a feature that hasn't been implemented in Beta yet, but it's sorely misssed in my personal & professional use of Illustrator. could you please improve libraries. I have thousands of vector assets and it takes forever to sort into catagories.  Couldnt ai do this for me and name my assests for me?

I never save files to the .ait format under the SAVE AS menu. But I will inadvertenly select it when I'm in a hurry instead of PDF. This has to be one of the least used formats under SAVE AS. Moving it to the EXPORT menu won't cause a great amount of confusion. If you feel the same please vote. ThanksRick. 

Entweder/Oder: Wenn Ihr Euch entscheidet ein Bemaßungswerkzeug einzuführen, dann bitte gleich von Anfang an richtig, damit ich alles, was ich zeichnen auch Bemaßen kann, also auch Kurven, Bögen und Radien. CAD-Tools wird’s mit ihrer Preispolitik eh nicht mehr lange machen … 

New artboards are always blank! But why?While creating a new artboard I want to create the guidelines and certain background images too. So far I1) create an artboard,2) add guides,3) copy certain elements4) start working  Why not define a costume artboard that already includes all this?

When exporting all variations, it would be incredibly useful to name each exported layer within the "All Views Grid" to be notated degree to which they are rotated ("Subject 0, -45" "Subject 45, -120," etc.) This could be crucial in animation workflows.Thanks so much.-dang

Can you add a Time line window for turntable feature. it would be great to beable to render a quick clip of the turntable or be able to send the turntable asset to another adobe app for a quick render in substance stager or after effects.

Hola, sería genial que puedan agregar una herramienta parecida al Plugin de akrivi.io, el cual tiene una herramienta que se llama Logo Grid, ustedes cada vez más suben los precios de las aplicaciones, a muchos apenas nos alcanza para pagar la membresía mensual, por lo tanto, comprar un plugin como ese es bastante difícil, sería bueno que puedan agregar una herramienta que cumpla la misma función.

I would like to share an idea that could be very useful for sublimation printing and garment printing companies. My suggestion is to add an auto-resizing feature for garments within Adobe Illustrator.For example, there could be an input option to specify the garment size (Small, Medium, Large, etc.), along with customizable size settings. After creating the desired printable design, the user could simply select the size—small, medium, or large—and the design would automatically resize proportionally before printing. This feature would be extremely valuable for printing businesses, especially since Adobe Illustrator works with vectors and ensures color accuracy. Adding an automated resizing function for different garment sizes would make the design-to-print workflow faster and more efficient. This is just a small mock-up idea from my mind, but I believe it can make a big difference for designers and printing professionals. Thank you very much.  Alfie C. When saving an Illustrator file, I would love to see an options button as you do with InDesign (to avoid the next popup panel stage)   and an option, rather than just a warning, about resolution to allow you to toggle raster effects on save instead of having to save, edit setting and then resave.
