When an object has a pattern fill, Illustrator should display the current pattern scale (e.g. 50%, 100%, 125%) and allow users to edit it directly. Currently, pattern transformations can be adjusted through Transform commands, but there is no obvious way to see the existing scale of a pattern. This makes it difficult to reproduce or maintain consistent pattern sizing across objects.
I use the dimensions on the transform toolbar on an hourly basis. Shoehorning the turntable tool into this toolbar at the expense of the dimension information is annoying and severly disruptive to my workflow. It would be ok if it were something that could be customised and removed if it wasn’t wanted but as usual this hasn’t been taken into account. Your customers don’t need to be force fed new features they need to be able to work effectively and maybe explore new features as and when they have the time. Yet again it’s another innovation that has been added at the expense of the usability of the program. It’s getting really tired to have to revert to older versions of illustrator and/or photoshop just so I can do my job.
The align option currently gives us three options: to object, to artboard, to selection. It would benefit my workflow for a fourth option where one could align to bleed. This would be helpful in my workflow, reducing having to create a shape then size it of the bleed and using align to key object.
Whenever I install an Adobe beta app, it seems to take over as though it were the only version installed. I need Illustrator Beta to open only the documents I specifically choose, not replace the current version of Illustrator as the default. Please keep beta apps separate. The standard versions of Bridge, Illustrator, and Photoshop should remain the default applications, while the beta versions should open only when manually selected.
Auto spell-check only works for Basic text with no style modifications… please expand this to include text with appearance modifications – I always have a variety of text, and if some is highlighted as incorrect, but others in the same document are not, they can be missed. Please update the auto-spell-check to address all text.
Could we please get manual sorting back for colors in Creative Cloud Libraries? Automatic sorting is fine, but I usually need to arrange my palettes in a specific visual order, and drag‑and‑drop was the most useful way to do that. Thanks for considering it!
If I select the text above the single artboard I can select and change the words but if I want to move between letters through my keyboard, the selection doesn’t work. So I need to select again using the mouse, point next to the letter/word I’d like to change and “write” again.
Dear Adobe,Whoever decided to remove the layer color controls in Illustrator 30… we need to have a little sit-down.For decades, this feature worked. Nobody was asking for it to disappear. It minded its own business. It helped professionals do their jobs. And then one morning it wakes up wearing concrete shoes. What the ???Every release, somebody in a conference room decides, “You know what would make professionals happier? Let’s move the controls they’ve used for twenty years.” Why? Who benefits from this? Is there a secret contest to see how many hours of collective productivity can be sacrificed before someone notices?I’m not angry… I’m just disappointed. Actually, scratch that. I’m pissed.Bring the feature back. PLEASE!!!!Because here’s the thing: every unnecessary workflow change chips away at the trust professionals have in Illustrator. We don’t open your software wondering what new adventure awaits us. We open it because we have work to do.So do the right thing. Put the feature ba
Create a control panel to run Illustrator Scripts instead of being forced to constantly use the slow and tedious File > Scripts menu selection.
The single-most used feature in InDesign is the convenient Fit Frame to Content option. There are so many times I am writing text in Illustrator and I want to reduce the size of the text frame to fit the content. I rely on this for quick spacing of elements (image and text frames; text frames and text frames) all the time. Please bring this feature to Illustrator so I am not frustrated every time I think I’m in InDesign but am instead in Illustrator. Besides, I use Illustrator a lot more than InDesign for small print pieces where I am already creating the vector art.
I would like to suggest an enhancement to the alignment tools. Currently, objects can be aligned to the page edges, but for print design workflows it is often more important to align elements relative to the bleed area.It would be extremely useful to have the option to align objects, nodes, and vertices directly to the bleed boundaries, similar to the existing page alignment functionality. This would significantly speed up print-ready artwork preparation, especially when working with backgrounds, full-bleed graphics, and other elements that need to extend precisely to the bleed line.Suggested options:Align to left / right / top / bottom bleed edge. Extend or fit an object to the bleed area. Snap nodes and vertices to bleed boundaries. Allow users to choose the alignment reference: Page / Bleed Area. For print designers, this would be a major workflow improvement, eliminating many repetitive manual adjustments that currently have to be performed on nearly every print project.
Many times I find myself wanting to move an anchor point on a curved path to a different part of it without affecting my current curvature, but it’s just not possible so I have to redraw the curve every time, which could be a little frustrating at times. It would be very helpful to have an anchor point sliding function in Illustrator where the handle tangents of the sliding anchor point adjust based on how close or far it is from the anchor point before and after it, like in 3D softwares. I hope it makes sense.
las herramienta es para colocar dos imagnenes o vectores en dos capas y que la que esta sobre la otra se pueda hacer tranparente en el area que el diseñador quiera. , en el centro , de arriba hacia abajo , de extremo a extremo .
I rarely hyphenate in illustrator. Turn it off by default
I’d previously reported a bug along these lines for the release version of Ai, but I’m not sure if that feeds through to the beta version too, so here goes:I have a document whose scale is 1:200. I have set the scale in the Dimension Tool Options to 1:200, and I can use the lovely Dimension Tool to happily add dimensions to anything and it gives an accurate dimension. Nice.I want to get the area of certain parts (it’s a garden layout and I want to be able to figure out how many paving slabs etc. to order). Sadly there’s not an ‘area’ option in the Dimension Tool, so I have to resort to the ancient Measure Tool. Why have these two tools not been merged?? Isn’t it time to add features to the Dimension Tool and kill of the Measure Tool? Anyway…If, using the (useless) Measure Tool, I try to get the length of something, it gives some figure based on nothing useful nor relevant. There is no way to set the scale of the Measure Tool, so we’ll politely ignore this. If, however, I want to get th
The title says it all.
For those of us who want to use the aps for what they were originally designed for, versions of every Adobe ap with all AI features removed.
The only way to unlock an object is by clicking the lock icon on it.I think we should add a shortcut for unlocking selected objects as an alternative option.
The Hand tool reaches its limits when the mouse cursor touches the edge of the screen. On a fairly large workspace, this forces you to zoom out and re-centre to avoid scrolling for too long. In Blender, there is no limit; you can scroll indefinitely. The only limit is physical: the mouse touches the wall or moves off the desktop. It may not seem like much, but for someone looking to optimise their working time, it makes a difference.
I use the Blob Brush to outline the shape of a fill but then have to delete the floating vertices inside of the shape, it would be nice to have a checkbox in the Blob Brush Tool Options that removed/undid any Compound Paths. That way you can stop interrupting your Blob Tool brushing to delete the hollow center, so to speak. In this example, I’m using the Blob tool to create a cell that will eventually be a shadow. I would like the Blob Tool to have an option that releases the compound path after de-selection and remove the inside path. This would alleviate the need to deselect, use the Direct select tool to delete the inside vertices, and would let an artist continue using the Blob Tool without having to interrupt the workflow. Procreate doesn’t even do this yet.
add "show linked images filter " in links window options , Because we need it to embed all images for the final file
The 3D feature offered today in Illustrator is great, however, it’s very limiting. Packaging Designer are not 3D designers and learning/using expensive modeling software is not practical. If the 3D feature in Illustrator can be expanded to model slightly more complex objects, like asymmetrical packaging components, will be extremely valuable for our industry.Thank you for listening,
wenn ein Dokument über 100 oder mehr Zeichenflächen verfügt, wäre es sehr hilfreich, wenn man die Namen der Zeichenfläche durchsuchen könnte um seine gewünschten Elemente schneller wieder zu finden.
