Predefined artboards

New artboards are always blank! But why?

While creating a new artboard I want to create the guidelines and certain background images too.

So far I

1) create an artboard,

2) add guides,

3) copy certain elements

4) start working

Why not define a costume artboard that already includes all this?

So you are referring to CC libraries?

I can save assets in an extra pannel and they even update.

I want the same for "predefined artboards". I want to save them in an extra panel, they should update automatically, AND I want to reuse them for new artboards.

Bassically, I want to have something similar as the SlideMaster for PowerPoint.

What are you referring to with "like you can do for assets"?

My goal would be to define artboard presets within a file, like you can do for assets, and choose from those while creating a new artboard.

Can you do that Adobe?

A new document profile cannot have elements on the artboard. A template can.

@Monika Gause: This does not solve the problem on any level (as far as I know)

1. The artboards created while opening the template, will have all things set up. HOWEVER, all new artboards are blank (no guides, background images, etc.)

2. I do create the artboards and guides and things on the fly and don't want to create a template all the time.

Let me know if I am wrong.

Save that in a template file.
