Save Abort Function

Good Day
Is it possible to create a function where you can abort save and revert to last save? 
This is because sometimes when you are saving a file it will show the rainbow ball of death continuosly and it either takes a long time for the file to save or the file crashes and sometimes doesn't restore last save.

Can there be an option to abort saving because at the moment you have to let Illustrator do it's thing and it not really feasable when you are on a tight dealine and you have to wait 30 min or more for a file to save.

Abort button can be a great function please!!
