Search by name in open box

The search by name text box in the open dialogue seems to have dissappeared.  It is difficult to find artwork without it, especially when there are a lot of documents stored in the adobe cloud to choose from.


Search by name does show when  opening Illustrator at first (when no other documents are open) it does not show when you choose open  from the menu.

The work around is to close all open documents and use the default dialogue - very terrible for workflow, or to use creative cloud which does a poor job of searching (searches all documents, not just Illustrator.

Hello @Atrike Thanks for sharing this with us. I want to confirm that this isn’t a new issue — the search box is only available on the Home screen when no documents are open, and doesn’t appear when using File > Open. I completely understand how this impacts your workflow, and I’ve taken note of your feedback as a request for improvement. I’ll reach back out if there are any updates on this.
