Turn off hyphention by default

Hi ​@maxwellmh! This was turned off by default back in 2024 on all new documents. If you’re seeing this on a new file, what build are you using? If it’s a build older than 2024, or it’s on an old file, this would be correct. Am I right in thinking that this is now the default behaviour (hyphenation off by default)? Or at least Illustrator remembers your preference? This was after several decades (I’m not exaggerating) of requests to do this; it was, at last, implemented a year or two ago if my memory serves me correctly. In fact I’ve just checked - in a genius move, Adobe has deleted all the ‘old’ bug reports/feature requests, but I remember that I posted a thing on Facebook because I was SO excited that, after 30 years, Adobe had actually listened to its users! You’ve got to understand that changes such as this hyphenation thing that are CRUCIAL to tens of thousands of Illustrator users and have the potential to exponentially improve the user experience of Adobe products are TOTALLY unimportant to Adobe. Their main focus, as I’m sure you’re aware, is ramming pointless AI slop down our throats - the exact kind of junk that nobody asked for and is in fact ruining the livelihoods of countless thousands of creatives who use this tragically awful piece of software. But this is nothing new - before the advent of AI, Adobe gave us useless crap like the perspective grid thing, while ignoring the fact that many of the tools in Illustrator were completely broken and it was riddled with bugs.
