Allow flexible Vectorscope layout: resize, place beside Histogram, or detach into a floating window

Title: Lightroom Classic 16 – More Flexible Vectorscope Layout and Resizing Options

The introduction of the Vectorscope in Lightroom Classic 16 is an excellent addition, especially for professional photographers working with precise color adjustments.

However, its current placement directly below the Histogram takes up a considerable amount of vertical space in the right-hand panel, making it less convenient to work with the Develop and Masking controls.

I would like to suggest several layout improvements:

  • Resizable Vectorscope: Allow users to reduce or increase its size according to their workspace needs.

  • Side-by-side layout: Provide an option to display the Histogram and Vectorscope next to each other, rather than stacked vertically, within the same right-hand panel.

  • Floating window: Allow the Vectorscope to be detached from the panel and positioned freely, including on a secondary monitor.

  • Independent visibility: Allow users to show or hide the Histogram and Vectorscope independently.

The Vectorscope is an extremely useful tool, but its current fixed layout makes it unnecessarily intrusive, especially when working with masks and local adjustments.

Adobe Camera Raw already offers a floating Vectorscope. Similar flexibility in Lightroom Classic would greatly improve usability and workspace efficiency.

Ideally, users should be able to choose the layout that best suits their workflow and available screen space.
