P: A scalable or detachable curve panel
Curves are one of the most powerful and most sensitive tools in any photo editor, but Lightroom's curve editor has limitations that hold back more precise color/tonal work. The curve panel is locked to a small, fixed size with no way to enlarge it, so fine-grained adjustments become a game of how small I can make my mouse movements.
Enhance the curve editing experience with:
- A scalable or detachable curve panel that can be resized or popped out into a floating window for more room to work
- Snapping and precision controls for control points, including (enchanced) snap-to-grid, axis-lock (constrain movement to horizontal or vertical)
A larger curve panel would make subtle adjustments practical rather than imprecise, especially for skin tone corrections, highlight rolloff, and shadow color balance. Snapping and axis-lock would prevent the accidental point drift that currently forces undo/redo cycles.
