Curves are one of the most powerful and most sensitive tools in any photo editor, but Lightroom's curve editor has limitations that hold back more precise color/tonal work. The curve panel is locked to a small, fixed size with no way to enlarge it, so fine-grained adjustments become a game of how small I can make my mouse movements.

Enhance the curve editing experience with:

  • A scalable or detachable curve panel that can be resized or popped out into a floating window for more room to work
  • Snapping and precision controls for control points, including (enchanced) snap-to-grid, axis-lock (constrain movement to horizontal or vertical)

A larger curve panel would make subtle adjustments practical rather than imprecise, especially for skin tone corrections, highlight rolloff, and shadow color balance. Snapping and axis-lock would prevent the accidental point drift that currently forces undo/redo cycles.
