P: Ability to batch rename folders in the library
It would be really helpful to have an ability to batch rename folders within the adobe lightroom.
There are times where the library organisation system needs to change the naming convention. Perhaps, merging two libraries that, by mistake, started with two different naming convention. Or decided to re-organise a library and as part of the process, decided to change the naming scheme.
Current options are:
- Batch rename in the file system but this needs to be re-linked one by one within the lightroom (this requires re-navigating to the exact directory one by one)
- Manually click every single folders to rename
I think the easiest mechanism to implement would be to add prefix to the child folders:
Folders with
YEAR/MONTH/DAY
to
YEAR/YEAR-MOMTH/YEAR-MONTH-DAY
Even if it means as simple as two folder renaming tools that consists of 'add prefix/suffix to child folders' and 'find-and-replace' after highlighting them would make a world of difference.
