P: Add the Option to Export Images in Gray Gamma 2.2 in Lightroom
Hello,
As a regular Lightroom user, I greatly appreciate the flexibility and export options provided, especially in terms of color profile management. However, I would like to suggest an enhancement that could greatly benefit many users, particularly those working on black-and-white projects or requiring precise grayscale tone control.
Currently, Lightroom does not offer the option to directly export images in Gray Gamma 2.2, a widely used profile for precise monochrome work and better compatibility with certain professional workflows. Adding this functionality would be highly valuable for:
- Photographers specializing in black-and-white photography who aim for a faithful rendering of their vision.
- Printing professionals who require the Gamma 2.2 profile for optimal results.
- Digital artists or creators needing an accurate grayscale workflow.
Proposal:
- Include Gray Gamma 2.2 as an option in the color profile menu during export.
- Ensure a simple and intuitive implementation, similar to existing profiles like sRGB, Adobe RGB, or ProPhoto RGB.
I believe this feature would be an excellent addition for advanced photographers and creators who rely on Lightroom for their professional workflows. Thank you for considering this suggestion—I’m confident it will resonate with the community.
Best regards,
A passionate Lightroom user
