P: Allow crop tool controls to remain fully visible (or less dimmed) while Lights Out mode is active
Description:
When using intermediate Lights Out mode (L key once) while cropping, the crop tool controls are dimmed along with the rest of the interface. This makes it difficult to see and use the aspect ratio dropdown (for example switching from As Shot to 5x7 or 8x10), especially on darker images.
The primary benefit of Lights Out during cropping is isolating the image area. Fully dimming the crop tool interface provides little benefit and reduces usability.
Suggestion:
Allow crop tool controls to remain fully visible (or less dimmed) while Lights Out mode is active, similar to how the image area remains emphasized. Alternatively, provide an option to exclude active tool panels from Lights Out dimming.
Use case:
This would improve speed and accuracy when cropping large numbers of images, especially when frequently switching between standard print aspect ratios.
