P: backup list

In the latest version of LRC a list of backups has been introduced. On displaying this list (Edit>Catalog Settings>Backups ) LRC declares that the list of backups are displayed in date order. However, it is not stated if this is new to old or old to new order. Please add a suitable description or, even better, add a field in the list of when the backup was created.

Perhaps Adobe did this on purpose, so you are forced to store your catalog backups on an external disk, to get a short path... 🙂

Storing backups on the same disk as the catalog is asking for trouble. If that disk fails, you will lose your catalog and all its backups.

Johan, Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, if the path to the folder is too long, the full name is not displayed. eg:

Full path is C:\Users\xxxxxxxxxx\Photography\LR Catalogs\ABC Catalog\Backups\2025-02-05 1639 and is displayed by LRC as C:\Users\Philip Weir\Photo...\CatalogName.zip. Equally unfortunately I can't change the size of the window to allow the full path to be displayed.

You can see when the backup was created if you look at the path of the backup. As always, the backup file is in a folder with the date and time the backup was created as name of that folder.
