P: Change sizing behavior in Slideshow export containing video and stills

I've resorted to multiple solutions to this BUG for years, there's no excuse for this.

Adobe: I'd love to hear a *good* reason why, when exporting a slideshow to 1080p video, that contains a mix of video footage (1080p or HIGHER) and photos that are cropped far larger than 1080 pixels tall that Lightroom can't figure out that it does NOT need to *reduce* the 1080p video clip(s). Been this way since the beginning, can we please get this right. Not doing any panning or zooming, just asking LR (v3 Perpetual - Classic 14.1.1) to *first* survey the size of every element in the slideshow and do the right thing (if the smallest image is ≥ the export size, only *reduce* any images larger than this, do NOT reduce the images that meet the export size). Been using "PhotoStage" because it's the smoothest option vs. LR.

[Moved from 'Bugs' to 'Ideas' by moderator. This is no so much a bug, it is poor design. So this is a request to improve this design, not a bug report]

I missed this post when you posted it in March. For future readers:

The underlying long-standing problem is that on Mac (but not on Windows), when you export a slideshow to video, LR always reduces the dimensions of both photos and videos in the slideshow by half. See here for more details:

https://www.lightroomqueen.com/community/threads/exporting-slideshows-as-video.50430/

People generally don't notice that with photos since LR only supports lower-resolution videos (max 1080p), while the typical photos being included are at least twice that resolution. But if you use the Any Video Preset plugin to export 2.5K or 4K videos, the problem becomes more apparent.

Unfortunately, I think it is unlikely Adobe will ever fix this. The Slideshow, Map, Book, and Web modules haven't been well-supported for years.  Using a third-party app for slideshows, as you're doing, it the best alternative.
