What I’m trying to solve

Lightroom Classic is amazing for clean, professional results—but when I want a vintage lens / cinematic aesthetic, I often need to add optical imperfections. Right now, I end up editing certain photos in DaVinci Resolve specifically because I can add artifacts like coma and chromatic aberration creatively. I’d strongly prefer to keep this inside Lightroom Classic so I can stay in a batch-edit workflow.

Requested improvement (one request):
Add creative controls to intentionally introduce:

  • Coma (especially visible toward frame edges/highlights)

  • Chromatic Aberration (add, not just remove)

Why this matters / workflow impact
This would let photographers emulate vintage lenses and build a cohesive look directly in Lightroom Classic without round-tripping to other software. It’s not about “fixing” optics—it’s about creative styling.

Where this helps most

  • Night scenes / point light sources (coma look)

  • Vintage lens emulation for portraits and lifestyle

  • Cinematic grading where slight edge imperfections enhance mood

  • Consistent “lens character” across a full series (batch-friendly)

Suggested controls (example)

  • Coma Amount

  • Coma Falloff (center → edges)

  • Highlight Sensitivity (apply mostly to bright points)

  • Chromatic Aberration Amount

  • CA Direction / Channel Bias (subtle red/cyan vs blue/yellow feel)

  • Edge weighting + optional radial masking integration

Enlist support
If you want more cinematic/vintage looks directly in Lightroom Classic (especially for batch edits), please upvote—this would reduce round-tripping and speed up production workflows.
