P: Custom Order: images that are denoised should be positioned next to the originals

If I edit my photos and create a curstom order (which I always do on wedding projects) and I have to denoise some of them - they are added at the end of my folder.
This is very annoying since I need to move them back again to were they belong manually. This is very cumbersome on projects with 1000 or even more images.

My suggestion:

Why not put the newly added DNG files next to the original (which has the same name)? This would be so much more convenient.

The same is true btw when you edit an image in an external editor (photoshop etc).

In other threads  it has been suggested to use the order by timestamp than >> but this is definitely not a solution! Since I intentionally move images around to tell a story.

This is becuase you ARE NOT USING "Custom Order".  If you are using this option it dumps it at the end, WHICH IS HORRIBLE DESIGN

@Roman Wache: "it seems this problem has been solved with the latest version? 14.0.1 For me the photo just jumped at the right spot"

I observe the same thing.  The steps I tested:

1. Create a collection with three raws.

2. Drag the raws in the collection in a custom order that's not sorted by file name or capture time.

3. The menu item View > Sort > Custom Order should be checked.

4. Select the second raw and do Photo > Enhance > Denoise, with Create Stack unchecked.

5. Observe that the denoised DNG is added immediately after the second raw, and Custom Order is still checked.

I might be crazy... but it seems this problem has been solved with the latest version?

Have you found an answer to this? I have been complaining about this for at least a yaer or two. It is so cumbersome and annoying. Every time I talk with Adobe they don't have an answer for me.
